Assistant Estimator

Assistant Estimator – Facades & Fit-Out We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Facades Contractor based in Erith, Kent. Our client is a well-established business operating across the residential and low-rise sectors, and they are looking to bring an Assistant Estimator into their growing commercial team. The Role You will work closely within a supportive team of Estimators, reporting directly to the Senior Estimator. This is a fully assisted role — you will be guided and developed every step of the way, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in estimating. Day-to-day responsibilities will include: * Reviewing drawings and project documentation * Performing on-screen take-offs * Sending out material and plant pricing requests internally * Assisting with rate build-ups * Supporting project handovers * Attending site visits * Carrying out initial contract reviews Scope of Work Projects span Screed, Dry Lining, and Render, primarily within the housing and low-rise residential sector. What They're Looking For * Some exposure to estimating or a construction-related background is beneficial, but full training and support will be provided * Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a team * Good numeracy skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings Package * 20 days annual leave + 5 days Christmas shutdown * Private healthcare * College or University support considered depending on the individual This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable contractor in a role with genuine mentorship and long-term progression.
